Schools Make Intelligence Linking Emotions
In February 2018 we launched our new PSHE curriculum. After visiting and researching, we have based our curriculum on the Erasmus+ project that some schools participated in. As a school, we recognise the importance of pupil well-being and mental health. We have incorporated the recommended daily move into whole school curriculum to complement this. As part of our PSHE curriculum, we are also working with TaMHS (Targeted Mental Health in Schools) hoping that all our good work will help us achieve the silver accreditation building to the gold.
Each class has a Calm Corner – a safe space for a child to go if they are feeling upset, anxious or worried. Our PSHE curriculum will assist children will the skills they need to recognise how they feel and give them strategies on how to cope.
Each term we are inviting parents to our Community Café to launch the topic and showcase the curriculum.
Please see our long-term plan for our curriculum content.
